Better late than never!!!

I wanted to post something about my Valentine, and I know I am only about a week late, but.....I have a very special Valentine!!! His name is Jason and he is the the best Valentine I could have ever asked for. He is sweet all though the year and not just on Valentines day. He is a wonderful and thoughtful husband, and a wonderful Daddy to our children. He is always trying to make a living for our family even if it means doing odd jobs here and there. He is one of the hardest working men I have ever met. He works all day in the dump truck, and then he has all of Millers trucks to wash which usually takes up one week night and half the day Saturday, and in the summer he has yards to mow. He is not afraid to work and is challenged by it. He always takes time for his family and makes sure that the house is taken care of. He always helps with the kids and now that I am getting close to having our third child, if I get the sweeper out, he takes it away from me and the same thing with the mop. He is not afraid of dish water hands either.
Thank you Jason for loving me and for being a wonderful husband and father.
These are my three Valentines!!!! We only gave cards to each other this year, and I also made him a big breakfast.

And since I have family who do not see me very much I thought it would be nice post a picture of our growing baby!!!!

Emilee is sick today and so we are having a lazy day. Last night she was running a temp. of almost 103 and this morning she is doing a little bit better. She is still running a temp. of about 100 so we are pushing the Tylenol and trying to get her to feel better and hoping Austin does not get it. But they wanted to watch Elmo, so Mommy is trying to get a quick post in while they are being entertained!!!

Correction!!!!

My Mom informed me that when I had posted that I made my Dad's recipe when making the apple dumplings, that it really was my Grandma Patterson's recipe and my Dad always made them from her recipe. She was an awesome cook and my Dad loves to try to make things and get it so it tastes just like hers did. He has been able to make things that came really close, but I think that it always just tasted better, because Grandma made it. But just in case any of you are wondering, my Dad is an awesome cook, and when you get both him and my Mom in the Kitchen you know that whatever they are making, it is going to be wonderful!!!

A fun outing!!!

This past weekend we took the kids and Kendall, (a good friend) and went to Dayton. We grabbed a bite to eat and then headed to Gander Mountain. They had a few things that you could sit in and the kids were having a great time "driving" the boat and 4-wheeler. They also had a good time looking at all the animals on the walls and playing with a few of the toys they had, but I think what made the night, well at least for me was when we stopped at the Cold Stone Creamery on the way home. I do not have any pictures of the ice cream, because we got it to go, and I was too busy making sure it went in the kids mouth and not anywhere else, but it was really good.
We had heard that it was getting nasty on the roads around home, because of the blowing and drifting snow, so we did not know what to expect the closer we got to home. They had kept interstate pretty clean, but the country roads were not good at all. When we pulled up in front of our house and started to pull in the driveway, it had drifted so bad that we could not get the van into the garage. That is when Jason and Kendall's pager's went off for a fire, so they went running to the fire department and I was able to get around the drift with their trucks out of the driveway, but I really didn't know just how bad the roads were until later I learned that the country roads were so bad, that they had given instructions that if they had any runs in the middle of the night, that they were not to leave until Jason or another guy, who also has a snow plow were there to plow the road ahead of them. I guess on the fire earlier that one of the firetrucks had a hard time getting down some of the roads, which obviously is not good when you are trying to hurry and be extra careful at the same time.
But all in all we had a good time in Dayton and here the kids and Daddy are sitting in one of the boats, and probably a little bit of dreaming was going on too.
